With a growing family, our sellers determined it was time for a bigger home. The sellers were referred to Rickey by a co-worker to address their real estate concerns. Having two children, a few pets, a business and a demanding tech career, there was very little time leftover to prepare the property for its sale. Our sellers were able to find a property to move into while their departure residence was readied for the market. With a modest budget set aside we decided to make a light update to the kitchen by painting the existing cabinets and by adding a new quartz countertop, a new sink, faucet and a garbage disposal. The full bathroom received a new tiled shower, tiled floor, sink, faucet, medicine cabinet, light fixture and the re-glazing of the tub to match its new hardware and tiled backsplash. The exterior and interior were both repainted using contemporary colors that emphasize the space and photograph well. A cleaning crew was hired to deep clean the interior, including drawers, cabinet surfaces, appliances, light fixtures and flooring. Professional window cleaners made sure both interior and exterior surfaces were spotless which is important when photographing in extremely high resolution. Once the home was clean, our staging team brought in furniture, keeping colors and textures in consideration to highlight and balance the positives and drawbacks of the home. Mulch and grass were installed to enhance the outdoor living spaces and add to the curb appeal. A ‘Coming Soon’ sign was put up during the last two weeks of the updating timeline to alert the neighborhood, passersby and to address pre-marketing questions from the general public.
